2025 Joint Annual NMI District Court Conference and Pacific Judicial Council Mid-Year Conference Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands September 24-26, 2025


Registration is now open for the 2025 Joint Annual NMI District Court Conference and PJC Mid-Year Conference in Saipan September 24-26, 2025.

Each PJC Member jurisdiction is allotted two sponsored seats at the conference, this sponsorship includes airfare, lodging, ground transfers, and per diem.  We may have limited self-pay admission or additional seats at this, please contact me for details.

The registration deadline is August 30, 2025.

Jurisdictions that do not intend to use their seats may designate their seats to another jurisdiction, please email me for details on how to designate these seats to another jurisdiction.
 
Course Description

The Pacific Judicial Council’s 2025 Mid-Year Conference promises a vibrant and intellectually rich gathering of judges, legal scholars, and attorneys from across the Pacific and beyond.  Held in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, this year’s conference is uniquely combined with the NMI District Court’s Annual Judicial Conference—offering three days of compelling presentations and high-level judicial and attorney training.

This year’s agenda explores the frontiers of judicial interpretation and emerging challenges facing the courts, with keynote addresses and panels led by the chief judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Sixth Circuit, other Court of Appeals judges, Pacific Island justices and legal educators from Yale and Berkeley Law.

The Pacific Judicial Council began over 25 years ago and is made up of members from all over the Pacific region. Our goal has always been to continue further to educate ourselves and our local communities on the law. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the members of the Pacific Judicial Council thought now more than ever was the best time to redesign and update our website with the latest information and education opportunities to give our audience a chance to connect with us and learn more about our organization on a virtual platform.
