When registering for the conference, which Registration Type should I select?
PJC Participant - Sponsored - This registration type should be selected if you are a member of the PJC and/or you have been designated by the jurisdiction's chief justice to attend. There is a limit of two participants per court/jurisdiction and will allow you to register as a participant in the conference.
Participant - Self-Pay - This registration type should be selected if you are not a member of the PJC. You are responsible for reserving and paying for your own travel plans, such as hotel accommodations, flights, and/or car rental arrangements. -
What does my registration include?
Conference registration includes all sessions, AM/PM refreshments, and lunch each day.
-
Who qualifies for PJC-sponsored travel?
Participants are designated by their Chief Justice to attend the training and receive a sponsorship to cover training and travel costs. -
What is included in my PJC-sponsored travel arrangements?
As a PJC Participant - Sponsored, your conference fee, hotel accommodations, roundtrip airfare, and per diem are advanced by Compact/Technical Assistance Funds administered by the Ninth Circuit Pacific Islands Judicial Education Program Funds. -
What if I need to extend my hotel stay or flight itinerary?
Participants requesting additional nights outside of the official conference dates will be responsible for all associated room, tax, and incidentals charges. Any extension to hotel reservations or scholarship funding requires approval from the PJC prior to booking. Participants will also be responsible for any increase in airfare due to the extended travel dates. -
Do I need to complete a Travel Authorization or Voucher related to my travel if I am being sponsored?
As a sponsored traveler, a travel authorization and voucher will be completed on your behalf. However, you will be required to sign the voucher in person at the time of receiving advanced per diem. All Travel Vouchers must be signed prior to your departure from the conference. Failure to do so may result in your court receiving an invoice for your travel advance. -
When will I receive my travel per diem?
The per diem will be issued to you at the training once you have signed your travel voucher for the advanced per diem. The registration desk will be able to assist you with this process. -
Do I need to submit receipts for any Departure Fees?
If you are traveling from the islands of Chuuk, Yap, or Palau, you will need to submit a copy of your departure fee receipt for reimbursement. You can drop off the receipt at the Registration Desk or email a copy to Mr. Russ Mathieson.
